Completion Time: Jobs will be completed within 12 weeks of balance being paid in full unless arranged otherwise. Process & Finished Product: Bouquets are fully dismantled with flower heads removed from stems in order to preserve them effectively. The flowers stay in a chemical drying agent mixture to prevent moisture, dust & moths affecting them. We don’t take flowers out of the drying agent until they are ready to be re-colored and mounted. This does not occur until you have chosen your frame and decided how you would like the bouquet displayed. Therefore you don’t get to see the bouquet until it is actually mounted in the frame. Flowers will be re-colored as close as possible to original color of bouquet. Exact color matching is not possible. Pale colored flowers such as white & ivory will maintain a brown tinge. Colored flowers such as reds, purples & pinks often appear darker once re-colored. Once preserved, flowers will remain 3D but will change in shape and appearance & will often shrink. Petals will become brittle with a creased appearance. Flowers with higher water content, such as tulips and lilies will distort most in comparison to flowers with a lower water content, such as roses. Flowers are technically dead once preserved and although they will remain 3D, they will not look as they did when freshly assembled and alive. Each bouquet is an individual work of art & custom made, not mass produced. Quality & type of flowers, age and water content in petals will determine the appearance of the flowers once preserved. As a result the finished product will vary substantially. Therefore, we do not guarantee that the finished product will look the same as our samples on display in our studio, brochure & website. Once mounted, flowers cannot be removed or rearranged from the backing board. Foliage: Foliage will be added as a gap filler if required even in bouquets that did not have any foliage in them when fresh. In order to preserve flowers, stems and wires are always cut off each flower head. Foliage is often added to fill space & re-create the “bulk” that stems & wires produced when the bouquet was freshly assembled. Foliage is also added to cover the edges of the 3D support that is underneath the bouquet on the backing board. Dropping Particles: Some types of fine fern and berries will drop once preserved. This cannot be prevented and is quite common. The drying agent used to preserve flowers is similar to fine grains of sand. There are always excess remnants amongst the flowers once preserved. It is impossible to remove it all. These grains will often drop down to the bottom of the frame with movement. They are often hidden behind the mat boarder and can’t be seen once the frame is hung on the wall. To prevent these particles lodging between the boarder and the glass, please ensure the frame is kept on a ‘back angle’ or lying ‘flat on its back’ (particularly in transit) until it is hung up on the wall. Do not lean the frame forward on the glass. Notes about this will be listed on the back of the frame. Inclusions in Frames: Photos and wedding memorabilia can be included in the frame at customers choice. We will display any items appropriately at our discretion unless requested otherwise. Small cards on charms and trinkets will not be displayed unless requested by customer. More items included in the frame will enlarge the frame thus pricing will be adjusted accordingly. Deposits: The deposit of $200 (or other arranged amount) paid is non-refundable under any circumstances. The deposit of $200 paid covers the labor cost of preserving the bouquet only. The cost of re-coloring & mounting the bouquet, frame supply & labor to assemble the finished product is included in the balance. Deposits will be deducted from the total amount due on a quote given to you once your frame style and layout has been decided. Pricing: Prices are based on frame size and are reflected in our current advertised price list. Each frame is custom made therefore prices may vary slightly to advertised price depending on frame size required to complete the job. Ten per cent gst will be added to all total prices. Prices are subject to change at any time. Quotes are based on current advertised price at time of quote supplied.
Frames: Frames and mat boards that become superseded will automatically be substituted with a similar style or color if not available at the time of completing the job. ‘Out of stock frames’ from the supplier may delay the completion time further than 12 weeks. Frame size indicated on price confirmation sheet is approximate only and will vary to the actual finished frame. Completed Jobs: Any queries regarding completed jobs will only be dealt with via email or by written letter.
